100 hours in coma, 140 hours on ventilator, doctors saved the life of the little one

Raipur: Doctors of Satya Chhattisgarh’s Bastar Medical College have given life to a 7-year-old child. 7-year-old Nilambar, a resident of Chhindgarh in Naxal-hit Sukma district, was admitted to the medical college in a critical condition. Pneumonia had spread to both his lungs. He was in a coma. Despite the dire situation, the doctors did not give up and did everything possible to treat Nilambar. After being on ventilator for 140 hours, Nilambar finally won over death. Doctors said that he has come out of coma and his condition is out of danger.

According to Sahu, the doctor who treated the child and the HOD of the pediatric department of the medical college, the boy named Nilambar was admitted to the medical college on August 3. Pneumonia had spread to both his lungs. He was in a coma. He was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition with respiratory failure and peripheral circulatory insufficiency.

The boy was treated by putting him on a ventilator. He was also given shock therapy while he was in a coma. Along with this, the medication is also started. Finally, after 6 days of ventilator treatment, his life has been saved. Now he has come to his senses. After 100 hours of unconsciousness and 140 hours of treatment in the ventilator machine, the boy is finally out of danger.

Despite the limited health services in Bastar, the efforts of the doctors to save a patient’s life in this way are being appreciated everywhere. Despite the lack of medical equipment at Baliram Kashyap Medical College in Bastar Division, the doctors treated the little one and gave him a new life.
