There are a total of 74,67,256 voters in 150 seats of Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. Of these, 38,89,637 are males, 35,76,941 are females and 678 are third parties. There are 2927 polling stations for 150 seats of NMC, while a total of 9101 voting booths have been set up.
Will there be 50% turnout?
The turnout in the Hyderabad municipal elections has been around 45 per cent so far. In the 2009 Hyderabad municipal elections, the turnout was 42.04 per cent. After this, in 2016, the municipal voting pattern has remained the same. At that time, 45.29 per cent people had voted. In the last election of NMC, the figure of 50 percent was not crossed. Even before this, the turnout was less than 50 per cent.

How many candidates from which party
A total of 1122 candidates are contesting for 150 seats in the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections. 149 BJP candidates are trying their luck. TRS has fielded its candidates for all the 150 seats. The Congress has fielded candidates for 146 seats while Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM party has fielded candidates for 51 seats. There are 106 candidates from TDP, 17 from CPI, 12 from CPM, 15 from Independents and 76 from other parties.
