“A big dam needs to be built in Arunachal Pradesh to counter the adverse effects of the Chinese dam,” said TS Mehra, a senior official at the Ministry of Hydropower. We have sent a proposal to the government at the senior level for this. Once the dam is built, India will have more water storage capacity. “Only then will we be able to respond to any action by China,” Mehra said.
