Congress MLA Hemaram Chaudhary from Barmer’s Gudalamani Assembly constituency has tendered his resignation to the Speaker.
Senior Congress leader Hemaram Chaudhary had been infiltrating his own party for a long time. There was also talk that he was upset with his own party.
In the political turmoil in Rajasthan last year, Chaudhary stood with Sachin Pilot Gota against Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
News of Hemaram Chaudhary’s resignation shows that Rajasthan’s political mercury has risen once again. Although the exact reason behind Chaudhary’s resignation has not been revealed, the letter he sent to the Assembly Speaker is going viral on social media.
Earlier too, Hemaram Chaudhary, who was upset over not getting a seat in the cabinet in the Gehlot government, had come into the discussion. He often expressed his displeasure. Chaudhary had also accused the Gehlot government of discriminating in development work.
While speaking in the assembly, Chaudhary had expressed his grief. “If there is animosity, don’t bother me, the people in my constituency,” Chaudhary had said in the assembly.
According to sources, Hemaram Chaudhary had earlier resigned on February 14, 2019. However, the Speaker had rejected the resignation.
