Despite the small population of Ladakh, its geographical location made it difficult for the administration to reach out to all its citizens. The administration is also satisfied that the vaccination campaign has been successful as it is difficult to reach the citizens due to remote, weather and mountainous areas.

According to official figures, the first dose of 89,404 covid vaccines was given to all persons aged 18-44 years. About 60,936 people have been given both doses of the vaccine. This includes 6821 Nepali citizens.
