Deepa died after falling under a pile of pain in Kinnaur. He had shared a photo of himself on Twitter a few minutes before the accident.

Nine tourists, including the driver of the train, were killed when the Tempo Travel from Chitkula to Sangla collapsed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed grief over the incident and prayed for speedy recovery of the injured.
