End of a struggle: Jessica Lal’s sister dies after a long battle with illness

New Delhi: Sabrina Lal, who fought a long legal battle to bring the perpetrators of the notorious Jessica Lal murder case to justice, died on Sunday evening. Sabrina was the older sister of the late Jessica Lal. Sabrina, 53, had been battling health problems for some time. He was suffering from liver problems. The reaction to the end of a struggle after Sabrina’s death is expressed among the common people.

Sabrina’s brother Ranjit Lal confirmed the news of Sabrina’s death. ‘Sabrina had been ill for a long time. She kept coming and going in and out of the hospital. Her condition worsened when she was at home yesterday. She was rushed to a hospital but died during the treatment, ‘said Ranjit.

In memory of her sister, Sabrina had expressed her intention to set up an organization to help women who are fighting for justice. But, even this dream of his remained unfulfilled.

Jessica Red murder case discussed

Jessica Lal was murdered in 1999 in a restaurant in the capital Delhi. Jessica Lal was murdered on April 30, 1999, at around 2:00 am in a large hotel. The main accused in the case, Siddharth Vashisht, was Manu Sharma, the son of a Haryana MP. After a long battle with Sabrina, Manu Sharma was sentenced to life imprisonment in December 2006 and sent to Tihar Jail. However, in 2020, the Deputy Governor of Delhi reduced the sentence of Manu Sharma for good behavior in prison and terminated his sentence prematurely.
