New Delhi: An Air Force C-17 aircraft is ready to repatriate Indian nationals stranded in volatile Afghanistan. The Air Force (IAF) aircraft will be flown to Kabul as soon as enough Indian nationals are able to arrive at Kabul airport, sources said. The Indian government is working with the US administration to bring the Indian Air Force transport aircraft to Kabul. The government hopes that the Indian Air Force’s C-17 aircraft will be able to evacuate 250 Indians from Afghanistan. How many Indians will now be able to reach the airport? It all depends on it. Because the cities of Afghanistan are under the control of the Taliban, the sources said.
It has become difficult for Air India to fly to Kabul. This has put the Air Force on standby. It is estimated that more than 400 Indians may need to be evacuated. But the exact figures are yet to come. The Home Ministry is also considering visa applications for Afghan nationals, sources said.

But due to chaos at Kabul airport, only one plane was able to take off. But then another Indian Air Force C-17 aircraft repatriated 120 Indian embassy staff and ITBP personnel, including Ambassador Rudrendra Tandon.
