New Delhi: In the Arabian Sea, the Bureau of Narcotics Control (NCB) and the Indian Navy have launched a joint operation to crack down on drug traffickers. A total of 529 kg of hashish, 234 kg of crystal methamphetamine and some amount of heroin worth about Rs 2,000 crore were seized from the boat, it said. The NCB had received definite information that a large stock of drugs would be sent to Mumbai by boat. The NCB informed the Navy about this. A trap was then set to take action on the boat in the deep sea. Accordingly, the NCB and the Navy took joint action at sea near Gujarat. The operation lasted for four days. The boat was brought ashore in Porbandar today and drugs were seized from it. The operation was carried out at sea within the Indian border. It is suspected that the drugs were shipped from Pakistan.

Four days later the campaign was over

Naval patrols are being carried out in the sea of ​​Gujarat in the Indian border. The NCB squad was on a patrol ship. On the fourth day, the campaign was a success. Action was taken as soon as the boat entered the Indian border carrying drugs. Seeing the naval commandos, the sailors left the boat and tried to escape from the other boat. In the last two-three years, there has been a huge increase in drug smuggling in India by sea and this is the first time that such a large quantity of drugs has been seized in the deep sea, the NCB said. The NCB also said that the intelligence was immediately handed over to the concerned naval department and further action was taken jointly.
